Just to add to my reply in the other thread, it would help a lot if you could confirm these two things:
- In macOS Network Settings, does the direct Ethernet connection on both Macs already show as connected with the expected IP configuration before AbleSet is opened?
- In AbleSet, are you entering each Mac’s opposite IP address in the AbleNet settings, rather than its own local IP?
Once we have the logs from both machines, we should be able to narrow down whether this is a discovery issue, a permissions issue, or something AbleNet specific.
