Remotely Change Which Devices Are On Which Hosts

Hi Leo & Agustin,

Got a couple feature requests, I don’t to flood the forum but I think y’all would prefer to have these on separate threads, let me know if you want me to combine these in the future!

I love the Devices view and OSC commands that got added a few beta versions ago. It’s been really great to keep tabs on everything going on in my network and even being able to change which page they are viewing remotely. It would be amazing if you could also remotely change which host each device is following because when I have the issue laid out in a previous thread (Rapid Swapping Between IPs) it will also throw my other devices onto random hosts when I’d prefer they still follow my main. I imagine ‘Follow Current Audio Interface Scene’ would accomplish this but I have to disable that setting because that causes more random IP swapping when my playhead stops (I’m using generated BLDS tone within Ableton which means the interface will sometimes switch when the tone ends…). I’m very curious if this is a feature that could be added!

Glad to hear the Devices view and OSC commands have been useful for you.

On your request: “Follow Current Audio Interface Scene” is essentially the mechanism designed for this, but I get that the rapid IP swapping is the reason you had to disable it.

We’re already looking into reproducing that swapping issue, since it shouldn’t be happening.
That said, I’ll still pass your underlying idea along.
