Visual Metronome can't be activated

On user browser settings for AbleSet, the Visual Metronome option is greyed out, so I can’t enable it.

I am running the latest version Ableton Live Suite 12, so I have full Max Live access.

  • Windows 10
  • AbleSet V2.6.7
  • Ableton Live 12 Suite (fully up to date)

Did you add Ableset’s Max for live device on any track in your project?
Otherwise I’m afraid that won’t work.

Where do I find this, as I’ve not seen it mentioned anywhere in the documentation?

You can find the M4L device by going to AbleSet’s settings and clicking on “Get AbleSet Controller”.

Thanks, I’d found it myself by seeing where AbleSet was located, but thank you again. All working!

Hey Nelson! Welcome to the forum!
No worries — here’s how to get the AbleSet Max for Live Controller

  1. Click the AbleSet icon in your system tray/menu bar. Then click on the gear icon :gear:
  2. In the menu, select “Get AbleSet Controller” — this will download the Max for Live device.
  3. After that, drop it onto any track in your Live project — it’s good practice to place it on your Main track.

That should make everything work as expected.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes — I’m looking forward to your reply!
