Using OSC to do relative fader adjustments on X32

I am using AbleSet for our live rig which has a Behringer X32 rack mixer.

The X32 does not natively support relatively fader adjustments (ie move fader 1 up 3db etc). In stead you have to read the current value, and do the maths to send back a new value.

Can you pls explain how to do this with Canvas objects? I would like a couple of buttons for each of our main faders. A plus 1db and a minus 1db for each. Sending the OSC to set a value is fine, but I don’t know how to read in the current value.

you could use companion by bitfocus in between. It has a module for the x32 that can read the current value so you could probably set that up to take values and make adjusts to the levels
