Hi Everyone,
Probably an error at my end.. But ..
I have a timecode track in my Live session with LTC Display on it happily showing TC readout
In my canvas page I have dropped the timecode element in place but it doesnt reflect the LTC Display activity ..
Do I have to name the timecode track to make this work? Any advice on what I’m missing would be most welcome .. Thanks!
Hey @Coxybox,
A couple of things to check here:
-
In your Ableton Live LTC track, do you have the LTC Display plugin (v1.10) loaded? You can grab it from Settings → LTC Timecode → “Download the LTC Display Plugin” in AbleSet.
-
In AbleSet, go to Settings → LTC Timecode and make sure “Display LTC Timecode” is toggled on. This is available on both Standard and Pro editions, and the Display device comes bundled with Pro.
The Timecode Canvas element should reflect this automatically, no need to name the track in a special way for it to work, as long as the LTC Display device is loaded and the setting above is enabled.
If it’s still not showing up after checking both of those, try installing the latest beta build and see if that resolves it.
You can also see this in action in the official tutorial.
If none of that does it, we’ll need a log package to dig deeper — you can create one from AbleSet’s icon tray (gear icon → “Create Log Package”), include your .als project file (no audio needed), and upload everything here.
I’m looking forward to your reply!
Thanks for the info .. Will give these settings a try and let you know .. appreciated
