STOP after LOOP ignored when GO is pressed near loop end

Describe your issue here:

Hey Leo - I’ve been building a set using the latest beta (some great new features - thanks!) and have encountered a bug. When GO (or disable loop) is pressed very close to the end of a loop, and the locator after the loop is STOP, the STOP is ignored and playback continues past the end of the song (and therefore into the next song).

I’ve reproduced the issue using an OSC track, and recorded a video. The reproduction uses /setlist/go, but it also happens with /loop/escape.

Please fill out these values to make it easier to troubleshoot:

  • OS and Version: macOS 15.5
  • Version of AbleSet: 3.0.0 beta.19
  • Version of Ableton Live: 11.3.43

Hey @agustinvolpe - thanks for the quick reply! There’s a log package linked above, but I’ll also upload it to the support inbox. I’ll include the Ableton live pack, and a separate project file.

@agustinvolpe Looks like your reply disappeared! But I’ve just uploaded them to the support inbox too - thanks!

Hey @dbarrell, thank you for reporting this issue!

I just reproduced it on my end and implemented a fix that will be released with the next beta

The problem was that it took more than 50ms for AbleSet to disable the loop bracket and get notified that it’s now disabled, and during that time, the playhead already crossed the STOP locator.

Amazing, thanks for the quick fix @leolabs ! Will test it out when the new beta lands

Reporting back – looks like the newest beta (20) does fix it. Cheers!
