Song Stop at end and cue next song |Space bar to start new song

Hi There,

New to ableset ive got most things working but one thing I can’t get right is in a set. I have loads of songs in. a line and all im trying to do is when one finishes it cues the next one up so I can press space button on Mac and make it trigger the next song. Currently ive got song name at the start and then im doing STOP at the end of the track. Ive tried +PAUSE on the next song but this doesn’t work. What am I suppose to type in to make it stop at the next song and cue ready?

Hey @Tidey, welcome to the forum!

From what you’re describing, it sounds like Autoplay might be enabled.

Normally, if you have:

  • a song name locator at the start, and

  • a STOP locator at the end of each song,

AbleSet should stop playback at the end of the song and simply queue the next one, so pressing space triggers it.

Could you please check this in AbleSet?

AbleSet → Settings → Playback tab → Autoplay
Make sure Autoplay is disabled.

If Autoplay is on, AbleSet will automatically move on instead of waiting for a manual spacebar press.

If that looks correct and it’s still not behaving as expected, it would really help if you could:

  • share a short screen recording of your Ableton project (showing the locators), and

  • a quick look at what you’re seeing in the AbleSet UI (Setlist view and Settings).

That way we can see exactly what’s going on.

I’m looking forward to your reply!
