+SKIP jumps slightly early

Hi,

I think I may be experiencing a similar issue to this thread, but with the +SKIP flag.

Environment:

  • AbleSet 3.0.11
  • Ableton Live 12.4.2

When I skip a section using +SKIP, the transition to the next section feels slightly early. It’s subtle, but noticeable when listening to the click track.

It feels very similar to the “Auto jump to next song going slightly early” issue.

What I’ve tested:

  • Global Quantization: 1/4 and 1 Bar
  • Jump Mode: Quantized and End of Section
  • The behavior is the same in every case.
  • The locators are placed exactly on the bar line.

Is this expected behavior, or could it be related to the same jumping issue?

I’m happy to provide a screen recording or the Live Set if that would help.

Before we dig into it, could you update to the latest official release? There have been a number of fixes and improvements since 3.0.11.

If you still notice the transition jumping slightly early after updating, could you please create a Log Package? You can create one by opening AbleSet’s icon tray, clicking the gear icon, and then selecting “Create Log Package”. Please make sure to include your project files as well (just the .als files, no audio needed). To send the files, you can upload them to AbleSet’s support inbox.
