Long time Ableset user, New to canvas - loving it.
My scenario is i have a lot of songs in a setlist, and canvas setlist trys to fit as many as possible so they end up being tiny and hard to see on iPad.
Is there a way to set a limit to how many songs it shows on the screen?
AND
Is there a way for it to always show the current song… In another band we have an actual setlist we follow, ( this is lyrics view im talking now, i assume its the same with canvas ) but once it hits a song below whats currently visible there’s no way to see the song title unless i reach down and swipe the screen down… I know… Not a huge deal, but would be nice to have current song say at top of setlist so always can what songs are left in the set.
Hey @Trent_Crawford, I’m glad you like the new canvas feature!
Regarding the size of the setlist, you can decrease the canvas size which will make the list appear bigger. If your canvas is currently set to 1080p TV, you could try setting it to 720p TV and check if that improves things legibility-wise.
Regarding your 2nd question, if you go to the setlist page and click the settings icon on the bottom left, there’s an “Auto-Scroll to the Current Song or Section”. Once you enable this, the setlist will automatically scroll so the current song is always centered, in setlist, performance, and canvas view.
I did have Canvas set to 1080p. Much better now as set to Tablet Landscape. (y)
But - i can’t get the current song to stay visible in the setlist. Have toggled on “Auto-Scroll to the current Song or Section” but it’s not acting as it should. I am on an older iPad iOS 17.6.1… Could that be an issue?
Mac is Monterey 12.7.6 - even on it i can’t get the setlist to keep the current song shown / displayed… something is amiss!?!
That sounds like a bug, but it shouldn’t be related to your version of iPadOS. I just tested it on an iPad running iPadOS 17 as well, and the scrolling works as expected here.
If this is still happening for you, could you DM or email me a screen recording of your settings and the behavior on your iPad?
