Is there a way to make a canva button to save project changes?
i have been out of work since a few months, but a friend to whom I referred the software asks me if there is a way to save ableton changes from withing the ableset canvas… I think I tried or asked for this couple months ago here, so, just wandering if there is any change.

Short answer: there’s currently no AbleSet Canvas / OSC command to explicitly “Save” the Ableton Live project.
That said, there is a very relevant workaround depending on the workflow:
Multi-File Project auto-save optionIf your friend is using Multi-File Projects, they can enable this:
AbleSet tray icon → gear icon → Multi-File Project
Enable: “Save changes before loading project”
The same option can also be enabled via OSC with:
/settings/saveProjectOnSwitch true
With this option on, AbleSet will automatically save the current Ableton project before switching to another song, which effectively covers most “save safety” use cases in live / rehearsal scenarios.
So while you can’t trigger a manual Save from a Canvas button, AbleSet can ensure changes aren’t lost when moving between songs.
At the moment, there isn’t a command that can be mapped to explicitly save the session on demand.

thank you again! yeah, unfortunately we are no longer working with multi file project, cause we use windows, and is not reliable for live performance…
