I’m running 2 redundant laptops but both USBC ports are occupied by a Playaudio12 and a 4C (MioXM is connected to the host port of the PA12 via USB).
Is there a workaround here that is safe for live usage until I can upgrade laptops to get more ports?
For now I don’t actually need to interact with Ableset once the show starts, it’s just handling the looping and Start/Stops. My understanding is once I start using playlists I’ll need some sort of network solution.
You can run AbleSet redundantly without using AbleNet. The only caveat is that you can’t control both computers at once using the web app and that you have to manually ensure that the setlist is the same on both computers.
Other than that, if you’re using a MIDI controller connected to both computers to control AbleSet, you shouldn’t have any issues.
