It would be great if there was a way to re-enable automation within Ableset!
That’s an interesting idea! What would your use case be for this feature?
I’ve got Tap Tempo setup via AbletonOSC and I’d like a way to be able to reset automation so that I can reset back to whatever the original tempo of a song might be, for say the next song in the set.
Also I saw somebody already posted about wanting to be able to adjust tempo within Ableset by increments, that would also be amazing and would be another use-case for re-enabling the automation. Sometimes I might just run a click loop, so to be able to adjust the tempo and hit go and then for a song with stems, re-enable the automation, would be a game changer!
In my case, I’m using Waves Tune in Ableton, and I automate the key changes during the set. Sometimes the automation gets disabled (which happens from time to time in Ableton), and since the Ableton machine is on stage with the drummer (who only sees the Ableset interface while playing) it would be super helpful to re-enable automation directly from Ableset without needing to switch to the DAW. Would be a nice little lifesaver in live situations!
Just like Marcel, I frequently re-enable automation after tweaking tune parameters in Ableton. I also have automation to mute LV (which we might’ve had open in sc), mute preview aux channels etc before the show.
Having an indicator and switcher like there is with the interface A/B element would be a lovely touch!
Hey @mujo.live, @Adam_Molinaro, and @Marcel,
I’ve just implemented the first version of this feature and will release it with the next version of AbleSet. This button can be enabled in the setlist, lyrics, and performance view, and it’s available via OSC, so you can add a button to your custom Canvas that re-enabled automation as well.
