Print Setlist as Txt or Docx

I love the fact you can easily print a setlist from AbleSet’s browser window.

I have sometimes wanted to edit the formatting of the setlist, add some notes… taking the PDF output and turning it into an editable document however doesn’t work very well (on Google Docs the margins keep changing every line and it gets messy). Right now I have to remake the setlist from scratch.

It would be far too big a task to allow AbleSet to do all this formatting, but if it was easy to export a simple list of songs line by line, those could be made into a setlist on a word processor.

Unless someone has a suggestion for a better way of converting PDF output?

Hey @LewisDavie,

That’s a good idea! For now, you should be able to print the setlist into a PDF file and copy the lines into a Google Docs document.

I’ll see if I can add a few more export options – maybe a simple TXT file with one song name per line, a CSV file with more information about each song, and a detailed XLSX file.

Thanks @leolabs, that would be awesome!

I think that it would be awesome if you could just use your own logo file and also choose which parameters you would like to include in the set list.

Like:
Song Number
Song Name
Song Length
Direct start on next song or pause (could be formatted just as in the set list view)
Set length

Notes could be dummy songs as custom fields in the set list view that just gets skipped.

All this gets exported into a pdf (that almost looks like the set list view).

Maybe I’m the only one wanting this, but it would be totally awesome just to get everything you need from a show out of this app.

It totally rocks!

That’s a great idea, I’ll add it to my notes
