Not seeing set duration

Hi there, not sure why ableset is presenting my set duration as 00:00. When I go in to edit setlist the song durations do not load there either. Thanks

Hey @RonnieM,

That sounds like a bug. Could you send me a log package via email so I can take a look at what might be causing this? You can create one by clicking on “Create Log Package” in AbleSet’s settings menu.

In the past, I’ve seen a bug in Ableton where the path of project files that use special characters is logged incorrectly, so AbleSet can’t figure out which file is currently in use to calculate the song durations. If you’re using special characters somewhere in your project file name or parent folders, that might be the cause, but I’m just guessing here.

Hello, I just purchased Ableset and seem to have the same Problem. It would be quite nice to solve this. Best regards

For me it was non English characters in the path folders. Once I changed them all to English it was resolved.

That sounds quite like an easy thing solution. Thank you very much for your reply. I am quite new to this. Can you explain to me what path folders are and where I can find them? Thank you very much for your patience. <3

Sure, it just means the folders in which your project file is located. Something like C:\Main folder\Another folder\my project.als
So you would want to make sure that every folder name on the path to your project file is in English with no special characters.

The Problem was that there was the german folder “Dokumente” on the path. Now it works. But I had one song with negative song length after I moved the project to an other folder. The total length was -0:00 then. I deleted the STOP marker of that song and made a new one. Now everything is fine. Thank you Ronnie!
