[nochords] not working

Hello,
I did my due diligence (I think) and searched the forum. In the documentation, it is mentioned, that a [nochords] can be attached to a lyric track to make it not display chords - so I can effectively copy-paste my lyrics track WITH chords onto another track and save a lot of work. I just can’t seem to figure out WHERE this attribute goes. It seems it’s not the track name, since I’ve tried every iteration of where it might be in my lyrics track… It shows up in ableset as “tekst [nochords]” or similar when named “tekst [nochords] +LYRICS"

It’s very likely to be something simple that I’ve missed, but I just can’t figure it out.

OS and Version: Windows 11 Pro 25H2

  • Version of AbleSet: 2.7.5

    Version of Ableton Live: 12.3.5

    Thank You

Hey Thomas,

Could you please upload a screenshot of your lyrics track in Ableton Live?
Just to double check syntax in the track name.

Also, since AbleSet 2.7.5, there has been a major upgrade of the app along with a large number of bug fixes and improvements, so I’d strongly recommend downloading and installing the latest version of AbleSet first.

You can grab it here .

After updating, please let me know if the issue is still happening.

I’m looking forward to your reply!

Hey Augustin,

Thanks for the quick reply! Updating Ableset did the trick. I hadn’t imagined there baing a major update so soon after purchase - I’m a happy costumer!

Thomas
