Hi!
I understand this might be somewhat outside the typical scope for you as a developer, but I’d really appreciate your consideration.
Most of my track names are in Czech, which means a lot of diacritics. I have thousands of score pages already named and ingested into a massive liveset. I’ve normalized all filenames to Unicode NFC, which is the default when typing on a Czech keyboard.
However, I recently discovered that macOS automatically normalizes filenames to NFD when moving the entire project to a different location or drive. I can run a Python script to normalize everything back to NFC, but when I need to transfer the project to someone else’s machine, it quickly becomes a frustrating and time-consuming process
Would it be possible for AbleSet to match filenames in a more unicode-tolerant way – e.g. by treating NFC and NFD forms as equivalent?
It would make collaboration and portability much smoother for users in languages with diacritics.
Thanks so much for considering!
