Hey All!
Not directly Ableset related… but!
Have joined a new band where there will be multiple members wanting to add lyrics / clicks / guides for their own screens / IEMs etc.
This will be new to me - I always been the sole Ableton / Ableset user / “band leader” if you will. wondering how other people / bands handle this?…
The master set will be on my Mac.
My current method is to have them build their own clicks / cues / lyrics etc at home and then send me the updated .als file and I can drag their tracks into the master set….
Just wondering if there’s a better way / other ways to handle this?
Cheers

Hey Trent. I think you are doing the most efficient way assuming your band mates create the song as a whole and send it to you. The key with that is to make sure the structure is consistent and everyone is using a ‘tempo track’ of sorts that is warped and set to Lead, and your stems warped and set to Follow. That way it is easy to pull into your master set list and maintain song integrity.
Another options is to maybe use Dropbox or some sort of cloud sharing utility, but that might get a little messy if people don’t ‘Collect All and Save’ for every save.
Hope this helps. From Studio To Stage has some great Ableton content that covers things like this.
