More verbose output for setlist mismatch

Is there anyway with the Enable Log Streaming option enabled that when you edit a set list where the markers aren’t right that it could give you some kind of list to compare the markers and see differences?

We currently run a 3 MacBook right now with 2x redundant Playback machines, and 1x keys machine.

The show projects are actually built from the same project file, but then the playback tracks are stripped from the keys file, and the keys tracks are stripped from the playback tracks (for performance reasons), and from that point with small changes/additions over the tour, it’s super easy for something to get nudged.

so it’d be amazing if Ableset could show to info, even if it was really simply formatted on each machines Log Stream like so:

bar (or the raw marker number | marker name

1.1.1.1 (or 0000) | Song One

Thanks in advance!

Hey @neo_nmik,

AbleSet just compares the positions of locators to see if they’re identical. If you’re getting the “The loaded Ableton projects seem to have different markers” error message, you can check the log stream for the “Cue times requested” line from the setlist module. This contains a list of all cue times.

You can also check your browser’s console to see a list of all locator positions from all connected computers. The line should start with “Got markers from all hosts:”, followed by a “Marker equality:” line that shows whether all locators are equal between connected computers.

Let me know if this helps, I’m looking forward to your reply!
