Hi,
I’ve noticed that occasionally, when entering a loop, the +GUIDE tracks don’t mute as they should, and the +LOOPGUIDE doesn’t activate.
This has happened to me a few times during live performances, and unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to analyze the issue in detail. Most of the time (around 95%), it works as intended, but in rare cases, the cues don’t switch properly. As a result, I end up stuck in the loop with the normal +GUIDE cues still playing.
I apologize for not being able to replicate the issue yet. I’ll dedicate some time to figuring out the specific conditions that cause this failure, but so far, I haven’t been able to identify the root cause.
- OS and Version: macOS Ventura
- Version of AbleSet: 2.7.3
- Version of Ableton Live: 12.1
Hey @Pablo_Fergus, please excuse my late reply!
To troubleshoot this issue, could you DM me the project file you’re working with and the song and section you last experienced this issue with?
A log package would also greatly help with troubleshooting. You can create one by opening AbleSet’s status window, clicking the settings icon on the top right, and then selecting “Create Log Package”.
If the files are too large to DM, you can also upload them to my support inbox.
I’m looking forward to your reply!
Hi!
Sorry for my late reply also. I’ve uplodaded a log package to the support inbox, including at which time the issue ocurred. It ocurred with the song “Solo Tienes que Avisar”, during the intro loop, where the +LOOPGUIDE tracks did unmute, but when exiting the loop, they weren’t muted, and the regular +GUIDE tracks where still muted (not sure if this explanation is very clear, if you need any further clarification don’t hesitate to reach out!).
I still haven’t been able to reproduce it when trying, it just seems to happen randomly.
Thanks!
Hi, this has also been happening to me too. I didn’t report it because it’s so random I can’t seem to forcibly replicate it. I don’t know if this might help you or not, in my case this is happening in my MacBook Pro that I use mainly for testing and primary working with Ableton at home, It’s the last intel MacBook Pro apple produced, 8 core i9 with 32GB of ram, I’m on sequoia 15.3.1 and the Ableset version is 3.0.0 beta 2, and Ableton Live Suite 12.1.1 In my work Machine that I have been using with my band (Mac mini from 2014 16GB ram, same version of OS Sequoia 15.3.1 same version of Ableton Live Suite 12.1.1 but different version of Ableset (2.7.5) which I believe is the latest fully stable version available for download on the website I have never had any issue going back and forward with the same Ableton project from one computer to another. Again, this is so random, I don’t know if the information on my situation might help. Since you are on 2.7.3 maybe try out 2.7.5, with me at least until now, no issues whatsoever.
Also! It has happened to me with 2.7.3, but also 2.7.4 (I have different versions on different computers). I haven’t tried 2.7.5, I’ll update on this computer and see if anything changes.
