Loopfull & song triggers / cue up option

I use a sections track to set a loop at the end of songs to vamp until the band is ready for the next song to start (which is usually not the same as the next song in the list. I was expecting that using +loopfull would force the vamp to finish before triggering the next song, but instead the song is started with the next global quantization hitpoint (measure). Is there a possibility of adding an option to force the loop to finish before a new song triggers?

Also, on the subject of triggering new songs, is there a possibility to cue up a next song but not immediately launch it, so that the “next song” display would show the correct upcoming song instead of the next song in the setlist? For instance, right in session view I can scroll to the next song i want to play using a midi controller and have it sit there until i use a second midi command to launch the clip. I would love to be able to mimic this behavior in Ableset.

Hey @Bhammer,

The +LOOPFULL notation only affects the loop button itself, e.g. when you escape the current loop, but it doesn’t have any effect when you jump to the next song.

If you’d like to cue up the next song after the current loop, I’d recommend setting your jump mode to “End of Section”. This will always wait for the current section (or loop) to be finished before jumping to the cued one.

I hope this helps!

Thank you! That was exactly what i was looking for.
