Surely these things are documented here somewhere, but we just thought it my be quicker to ask the Forum…
We’re looking for these features in AbleSet (using an external controller) ie Oaktone Slide Duo
-
The ability to highlight or cue the another song without triggering the song or having it autoplay.
-
In reference to the previous request… Having the selected song in a cued/trigger ready position when the previous stops. Only needing to press play to start the next song
-
To be able to retrigger a song multiple times by only pressing the play button
Thus far we’ve had to manually stop the 1st song in order to cue the next. Whenever we select a song it triggers.
Please advise
Hey @Vybechyle,
Regarding the first two questions, you can take a look at the “Jump Mode” playback setting. If you set it to “Manual”, you can cue songs and sections without immediately jumping to them. As soon as you stop playback with a song cued, AbleSet jumps to that song so you can immediately start it.
Restarting a song multiple times can be done by enabling “Stop by Default Instead of Pausing”, or by mapping the “Play/Stop” command to a MIDI note. Pressing this button while Live is playing stops playback and resets it to the last locator that was triggered. You can then press the button again to start the song again.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions
Thank you for your reply @leolabs
Everything works as you said it would; However I should have been a bit more detailed.
