Laggy displays

Describe your issue here: we have 3 displays onstage - one external monitor via usbC (working best), a second MBP with ethernet plugged into the LAN port of our dedicated WiFi router (slightly laggy) and the third MBP over WiFi (more laggy).

We found this laggy display issue in the rehearsal studio and through we had solved it with the external monitor and the ethernet adapter going into the back of the Router (GL.inet OPAL 1200, it’s strong supports up to 52 devices).

But no… our first gig was a nightmare, display was almost a bar behind video. Please note the drummer thinks the beat-counter is bang on.

SUGGESTION: please can we make the beat counter BIGGER and also can it have a sub-counter that counts from the start of the section?

Next, we found a post " Floating Window really laggy Mac Mini M4" about latency in the Forum and downloaded beta 3.0.0 (6). Next gig was smooth, so we thought we had it solved. The gig after that also went well, though with just a little bit of display latency.

But no! Today at soundcheck the latency was back, very laggy over WiFi so that means the beta did not solve the problem.

This is really messing us up. Please can you urgently let us know what we can do to improve this? We have another 35 dates to go and we like Ableset a lot and want it to work.

One solution we can see is to make WiFi / Ethernet a backup option and go for 3 displays going out of an M3mbp using a plugable dock which supports 3 x hdmi outs.

What we know is that the amount of video data is minimal. Display should not be laggy. We use Chrome, Safarai and duckduck go - so it is unlikely to be a browser issue, no?

Also apologies from posting about this in the Forum, we didn’t understand about these support message areas.

Thanks!
