Issue with Ableset screens (url open on separate computer) switching to another instance when main one is closed

I have several screens open on different machines to various different canvases. I also have Ableset running on two separate instances of Ableton. One in our choir room that is independent from our worship center machines. In the worship center I run Ablenet with a Playaudio1U. That is the only location I run Ablenet. I also sometimes have Ableset open on my personal machine. These are all on the same subnet. One of the very recent Betas ( can’t remember exactly) cleared up the issue of other machines receiving commands even with Ablenet turned off, but I have been dealing with an issue where my various screens that have Ableset canvases open, will switch from tracks-a.local to tracks-c.local (choir room and separate instance) or pm.local (separate instance). This happens when I close Ableset or Ableton on my tracks-a machine. The “follow current scene” setting is turned off. All of these extra screens should always show the tracks-a canvases and shouldn’t be ever switch. I have been out of town and haven’t checked to see if the new beta fixes this but just wondering if this is a known issue or if it is acting as it is supposed to. Thank you!

Please fill out these values to make it easier to troubleshoot:

  • Mac OS (varying versions)
  • ABLESET 3.0.0 Beta 27
  • Ableton Live 12.3

Hey @iamderkis,

Keeping AbleSet’s web app from failing over to another computer automatically isn’t currently possible, unfortunately. However, you can choose which machines you’d like AbleSet to switch to in case of a failure by setting the “Connect to Custom IPs” field to the IP address of the other computer respectively.

Would that work for your use case?
