Intermittent Exbox device indicator at the top for redundancy

Having intermittent appearance of the Exbox device selector at the top of the screen to show which of the Net outputs is being used. Sometimes there is no red/green indicator dot and then the follow audio interface option doesn’t work correctly. Any advice?

Hey @lwcproduction, welcome to the forum!

Thanks for reporting this!

Can you reproduce it, or does it happen randomly? If there’s a pattern (right after AbleSet startup, after a network hiccup, after the EXBOX itself reconnects, etc.), that would be very useful.

To understand what’s going on, could you please create a Log Package? You can create a log package by opening AbleSet’s icon tray, clicking the gear icon, and then selecting “Create Log Package”. Please make sure to include your project files as well (just the .als files, no audio needed).

To send the files, you can upload them to AbleSet’s support inbox.

If you can grab the log package right after the selector misbehaves (rather than after restarting AbleSet), that’ll give us the best chance of catching it in the logs.

I’m looking forward to your reply!

I have sent two zip files to show one computer with the dot and one without.

I will say that the settings in the setlist view have the "show audio interfaces options grayed out on the computer where it is currently not showing up.

Hey @lwcproduction, thank you for sending over your log packages! I’ve looked into this issue and found a possible solution. There was a bug that caused AbleSet to try connecting only once and then give up when that connection failed. I’ll release a fix with the next beta.

In the meantime, the easiest workaround is to make sure that your EXBOX.MD is fully booted and connected before starting AbleSet.

Let me know if this helps!
