Hi all, just got the trial for ableset. I can Tell this is going to be a game changer. I do Have a question about how to trigger the count in for a song during an interlude that’s already playing. And in turn having that interlude play all the way up to where the next song starts. I would Like to have the count in for the next song be in our ears irregardless of the tempo of the interlude.
Is this posssible?
Hey @Shane_Lyons, welcome to the forum!
Unfortunately, AbleSet can only control the position of the playhead in your project’s arrangement, so any count-ins you’d like to hear would need to be placed in the timeline.
If you’re always playing the same song after the interlude, you should be able to place the count-in at the end of the interlude as an unwarped audio clip.
Would that work for you?
That would absolutely work. But i guess in my head i would like every interlude possible that we use to be its own “section” without having to place it in front of any given song. I’ve already thought of a small workaround that consists of taking the last 2 bars of any of our multiple interludes and have it populate the 2 bar count in section
That just means manually matching the end of each interlude pre show if we are changing it.
Sorry for double post but i guess Technically I’d be asking ableton to have 2 playheads which I’m assuming isn’t possible
That’s not possible, unfortunately. I’ve been thinking about alternative ways of doing this, but I haven’t been able to come up with a viable solution yet.
It’s mainly so i can be able to have my interludes as stand alone songs. My band likes to have the interludes flow into the song so basically i have To chop off the end of an interlude and place it as audio during the count in. No big deal
