GEMA list export after show

Hi all,

I am requesting a new feature (or maybe I’m too stupid to find the feature):

As a cover band we need to hand out a list of songs we played that day/evening for GEMA purposes. Currently I cannot find that mechanism. This is a feature most likely every cover band needs, when they play in public venues.

Adding to that: A button to make all played songs visible again, when the function “Remove Played Songs Automatically” is active. Or is it already there? If yes, how do I make the songs visible again?

Best regards,
Max

Hey @Basstor,

AbleSet has two built-in ways to export a list of your songs:

  • Print to PDF: Press ⌘P (Ctrl+P on Windows) to open a print dialog. AbleSet formats the setlist cleanly for printing or saving as a PDF.
  • Copy as plain text: Enter Setlist Edit mode and press ⌘C — this copies the full setlist to your clipboard as plain text, which you can paste into an email, a notes app, or any document you need to submit.

You can also see this in action in the official tutorial.

Regarding making played songs visible again after “Remove Played Songs Automatically”**, currently, once songs are removed by that feature, there’s no one-click button to restore them.
The recommended workflow is to save your setlist before the show (Edit mode → disk icon or ⇧S). After the show, you can reload that saved setlist and all songs will be back.

That said, I’ll pass your suggestion along.

Hope that helps!

Hi Agustin,

thanks for that response! I saw the “Print To PDF” function and the “Copy as plain text" in said videos before. Unfortunately that exports ALL songs in the current setlist - I need to export the played ones, as we need to hand out a list to the organizer.

Regarding the (invisible) songs in the setlist: That is exactly how I did it and I was wondering, if there is some more intuitive way, but seems like this is the way to go

Thanks man!

Best,
Max

Hey @Basstor,

Right now there isn’t a way to export just the played songs. Both Print to PDF and Copy as Text always reflect the full current setlist, not a “played” subset.

So for the GEMA list specifically, there’s no built-in shortcut today.

Appreciate you taking the time to explain the use case clearly, it helps a lot when passing this along.

Thanks for the feedback!
