Setup: MacBook Air M2 (Sequoia 15.6) + PlayAUDIO1U + Oakboard Floor Vista connected to HST 1.
I renamed the HST 1 port to “Oakboard” in Auracle X (MIDI Mapping section). The rename shows correctly in Auracle, but macOS still shows the port as “HST 1” in Ableton and Audio MIDI Setup — even after disconnecting/reconnecting the device and rebooting.
As a result, AbleSet doesn’t recognize the Floor Vista and the OLED display shows “TAZ 2.5+ TO SET TRACK IN TO FLOOR VISTA”.
MIDI is working correctly — the footswitches trigger play/stop/next/prev in AbleSet. Only the OLED display is not working.
Any known fix for Sequoia?
Hey @eblive, welcome to the forum!
macOS seems to keep the old name of MIDI ports in memory. The easiest way to fix that is disconnecting the PlayAUDIO1U, then deleting the MIDI device in Audio MIDI Setup, and then re-connecting the audio interface to your computer.
It should then appear with the correct port names:
