I’m not quite sure how this would be possible to implement.
I love the flexibility of being able to use the ableset >>> commands to jump around your structure. But one thing that would make it even better is if I could somehow export the mp3 version of that new structure - because bouncing in Ableton would no longer work as far as I’m aware and wouldn’t include skips?
My only workaround idea is looping it back into the DAW and recording it playing in real time?
Unfortunately, AbleSet doesn’t have access to the audio data of your project, so it can’t export any audio files, but your workaround of playing it back and recording it into a DAW sounds like a good workaround!
You might want to record the audio into a separate DAW so it’s independent of the jumps in Live.
This would do time cuts and time pastes in set so the ableton set gets rearranged following ableset.
It would be a one time button with the “undo” option (same as “place locators on clips”).
With the optional parameter “leave x bars between songs”.
You hit that button and wait.
Then you would simply export your set from ableton as mp3.
