I’ve stumbled accross a question, is it somewhat possible not to escape the actual loop but instead do one additional loop after hitting the “escape loop” action? We often have the live situation of “let’s go, one more time” And it would be great to trigger the exit of the loop at this time, while we still wait for the last loop.
A couple of workarounds that might help depending on your workflow:
• Use +LOOPFULL on the section. If you disable the loop during the last pass, AbleSet will finish the current full cycle before moving on, which can get close to a “one more time” behavior.
• Duplicate the section once after the loop. When you escape the loop, playback will continue into that repeated section one final time before proceeding.
For now those tend to be the most reliable approaches during live situations like the one you described.
Thanks a lot, yeah this helps, the second option is also what I’ve thought about, I’m new to Ableset, we are actually doing the switch from a hardware player to Ableset and I’ve created a set using the Loopguides and thought that there is maybe some kind of option I don’t know yet.
But the workaround with an additional last loop is really handy and offers also the possibility to jump over the interaction loop if this is ever needed.
Can’t wait for this first show with it.
All the best, Seb
