I’m getting the following error message on Ableton: Control Surface 1 (Ableset) ERROR: Cannot bind to (127.0.0.1):(49) (Can’t assign requested address) trying again.
Already rebooted, tried to reinstall both ableset and the ableset plugin
but the same happens. Has anyone faced this problem before?
I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues trying to connect to Live!
Could you send me a log package so I can take a closer look at what might be causing this issue? You can create one by opening AbleSet’s status window, clicking the settings icon on the top right, and then selecting “Create Log Package”.
Hey Leo! I ended up fixing the problem, I retraced my steps using the mac and apps and I think some ports might have been blocked due to messing with Ad hock connections in the macbook, what once was a simple and excellent feature on macs that allowed us to easily create a wireless network to do simple things like connecting an iPad using Logic remote app without the need for routers is now a mess of menus and different designations, apple being apple… Long story short, I deleted the created Ad hock connections, rebooted the macbook and voilà, everything works as it should.
Hey Rskeys, I’m getting the same error. How did you fix it? I’m in my wifi settings and don’t remember creating an ad hoc network. I kind of remember wanting to explore around with that a few months ago and actually it seems like the timing of this lines up. But I can’t quite remember which one is ad hoc. Can you give me any clues on how I can find that?
Hey! It’s been a while since then but I believe you will find adhock settings in the network separator, that is if you have one created if not it might be some other app that is using a port it shouldnt, if you have time machine active you can retrace your steps to a previous state where everything worked right…
