Embed URL-sites not working

I’ve tried to implement the new Embed URL-function the Canvas, but I will not display anything .. Anyone knows what that could be?

Love the Ableset 3 by the way!

Hey @danielkoppang, what kind of URL are you trying to embed? Maybe it has to do with the page itself

PlaningCenter and a OSC Web Mixer for Monitoring .. I’ve tried multiple sites, but i wont work ..

Hmm, that’s strange. I’ve just tried it on my end and can embed any website I tried, on Chrome and Safari. Is there a way you could send me the PlanningCenter URLs as a DM so I can try them out and check if I see the same issue?

What happens when you try to set the Embed’s URL to https://ableset.com or https://www.youtube.com/embed/w8gZPybxiMQ? These definitely work on my end.

I’m looking forward to your reply!

It look like every websites start page will show, but not once you log in to them. F.eks. Messenger, PlanningCenter and the OSC Monitor Mixer works for itself, but at once we log into them it won’t work ..

Is it a work around this - it would be wonderful to for example see the Sunday Service Plan from PlanningCenter directly in the Canvas. Planning Center - Login

I’m having this problem as well. It seems like it can access local network servers with web GUIs, but when I try to access external websites, they won’t load. I can actually see an error message that pops up in the embed window that says cannot GET… and then the URL, except that it seems like it’s appending the URL of the canvas page to the front of the web URL I’m trying to have it access. Which would probably explain why it’s not working…?

An example of the error message I’m seeing: ‘cannot GET /canvas/”canvas name”/https://google.com

Here’s a screenshot of the message I’m getting inside the embed window when I start typing a web address. This message goes away when I complete the URL, but the page does not load.

It seems that some websites don’t allow being embedded on other websites, especially when it comes to secure pages where you have to log in.

Unfortunately, there’s not much I can do about that from my end. You could ask them if they offer special embeddable links that you can add to AbleSet.

Ok, thanks @leolabs . I definitely tried lots of different URLs that didn’t require a login. The links you shared above work, but that’s the only YouTube link I can get to load. If I paste in other YouTube video links, or try to type in the YouTube homepage, (or really anything else that I’ve tried) nothing loads. So it’s certainly a strange problem. Oh well!
