In version 2.7.5, I can use Dynamic Jump Mode to leave any programmed loop section quantized to the beat when I hit my pad. Unfortunately In the beta version 3.0.0 (17), this doesn’t work — the loop only exits at the end of the loop instead. Am I missing something?
I found the error. In Ableton, I had set the metronome to 1/4 because I didn’t want the internal click to always give me the “1” of the 4/4 beat. Beat 3 handles this differently than version 2.7.5. Now both behave the same.
Still, I wanted it to exit Loop in Sync when I hit the pad or pressed ‘L’ on the MacBook keyboard. Any idea how I can do this?
Hey @MAXINMUSIC
Since you’re using Dynamic: when a section is queued, Dynamic will wait for the end of the current section/loop before jumping — so that might be why it’s not exiting immediately.
If you’d like to exit the loop as soon as you hit the pad (but still stay in sync), try switching the Jump Mode to Quantized in AbleSet.
That should give you the “hit to exit on the next downbeat” behavior.
Let me know if that works ![]()
