Cue descriptions in curly brackets don´t appear

Hi guys,

I would like to have e.g. the information of using a capo at the beginning of a song.
I thought it would be a good idea to put it in curly brackets behind the song title in the first locator.
Now I´m experiening that it doesn´t appear anywhere in the performance or lyrics view.

Maybe somebody can help me out or has a better idea to put such information somewhere.
Thx in advance

  • **OS and Version: MacOS Monterey 12.6.6
  • **Version of AbleSet:2.3.1
  • Version of Ableton Live: 11.3.4

Hmm, that shouldn’t happen. If possible, could you post or DM/email me your project file so I can check what might be going wrong? Just the .als file should suffice for this.

Hi Léo,

thx for your reply. I´ll attach the .als file.

Hey @Thilo,

Thanks for the file! I’m assuming that you’re using the multi-file project mode since your project just contains one song, right?

In that case, the text of your song’s start locator is ignored and instead, the filename is used for all metadata. If you name your project file “Leuchtturm 2002 {Capo IV}.als”, that description should appear both in the setlist and in the performance view.

I hope this helps!

Aahhh!:-)
Thx! Yes, we‘re using multi-file projects!
Then it makes sense.
Is there another way to put the capo information so I‘m the only one who sees it?E. g. a personalized song description?

Currently, this is only kind of possible. If you’re all using the Performance view and you’re the only one needing these notes, you could ask your peers to disable “Song Descriptions” in the Performance view settings on their devices.

Thx for your time!
Great program btw:-)
Makes life way more easy!
