Count in - is this possible?

Is there a way to have the count in “sometimes?” I don’t use a pre-planned set list. Rather I “call” songs on the fly. So I have 2 scenarios:

  1. At the beginning of a set. When we’re about to start, I would like a specific song to have the count in, and

  2. If I play the same song in the middle of the set, the end of the prior song says “end 2 3 4” in the guide track and that is essentially the count in for the next song.

So, sometimes I need the count in and sometimes I don’t on the same song.

Is there a way to make this work?

Please excuse my late reply on this one!

We have a similar workflow with some of our songs, and our solution is to split the song into two parts – the count-in at the beginning and the rest of the song.

That way, you can either start from the count-in or the song itself, depending on what you need.

These two parts can either be sections or separate songs depending on how you’d like to see them in your setlist.
