In Ableton, in ClipView, on the Tool Tab, each clip can be flagged to stream from “RAM”.
Would be great to read some experiences with this…
Have you explored that? Do you do it? Maybe are there scenarios (with big clips vs. small clips, or big LIVEsets vs. small) where you use this RAM flag, and other not?
With most computers having an SSD nowadays, there shouldn’t be a need for loading audio files into RAM. I tried turning this toggle on out of curiosity a while ago, but this made playback more unstable and caused a few audio dropouts, so I turned it off again.
