Audible Song Title Cues / Announcements before each track starts

I would love to be able to hear the song titles in my ears before hitting play on a song. If a band is doing their own playback, it’s an extra level of safety that doesn’t require looking at a screen.

I’m currently doing this in my session by having each track AutoStart, play the song title cue, and then automatically pausing before the 1234 count in. Then I can hit play to start the actual song. The issue I have here is when I want to scroll through songs, I can’t do it too quickly since I need to listen to each song’s title finish before my “next song” button does anything.

I could imagine this being very helpful even if a band has a dedicated playback tech, especially for bands who switch up the set a lot and bounce between songs.

Hey @vlh, thanks for the suggestion!

You might want to take a look at this related thread as well, where a very similar idea is being discussed.

At the moment there’s no built-in way to handle this dynamically, but the use case is definitely clear. Implementing something like this would likely require some fairly deep groundwork that isn’t in place or planned right now.
For now, the count-in / pre-song voice cue approach is probably the most reliable workaround.

Hope that helps!

Hi! What I do is leave two bars before the song starts, and then use an AI voice (I use TikTok Voice) to announce the song’s name, the section, and the count-in. It’s a bit tedious because you have to do it manually, but it helps a lot on stage. Hope it helps! This is the AI I’m using: https://gesserit.co
