Hello! I’ve started implementing a lyric and chord track in my songs and sets. I’ve already got my entire song library in ChordPro format, and the AbleSet lyric tool has been very helpful in importing and formatting my charts for use with AbleSet. Many of my ChordPro charts use slashes, bar lines, and chords that are continued from a previous section. Below are examples of each:
[/] [|] [(D)]
In AbleSet, these all show up as standard text, with the brackets, on the lyric line. Would it be possible to make all characters that are in brackets to show up above the lyrics, with the chords? I appreciate the consideration. AbleSet has greatly enhanced my workflow over the last 2 years!
Hey @gracebhm, thank you for your feature request, and please excuse my super late reply!
I’ve just implemented support for any chord notation and will release it with the next beta of AbleSet. Chords in brackets (e.g. [(D)]) can be transposed as well. Non-chord content is just displayed the way you typed it.
Let me know if you have any further feedback! ![]()

@leolabs, that’s great news! Thanks so much for considering and implementing this!
