I’m about to switch from an Intel Mac to M3 Max.
Recently saw some videos and ran into this in Reddit, regarding Ableton
Would love to read about your own experiences on playback and live performance running Ableton and AbleSet on M3 Pro/Max processors.
We run Ableton in an M2 Pro and it works flawlessly. We do keep the buffer size below 256 though for the reason mentioned but we have never had any issues or crashes 
We’re running Ableton on an M1 Pro and keep the buffer at 128 samples, which has worked well for us so far. The CPU usage never exceeds ~20% even with loads of live audio processing, so I’m not worried about dropouts.
