Ableset not starting up with Ableton 12.3.1 pls help

Hope you are well.

I realise this is probably a problem that has been forced upon you but I don’t know how else to get help with it.

My Macs updated Ableton to 12.3.1 and now Ableset will not load. The server does startup up but sits there saying ‘Connecting to Ableton’.

I have tried restarting the Mac, restarting Ableton, etc etc

I am running Beta 22 as beta 23 had lots of issues with updating the setlist after selecting songs etc (I posted in the forum about it, you said you had found the issue)

Now I cant get beta 22 running either

We have gigs every couple of days from now on until after New Year and I am desperate to get this working.
Any idea what I can do? Or is it a fix needed from you.

EDIT: Just tried re-installing beta 23 and that is the same, sits there saying ‘Connecting to ABleton’

Hey @GuitarMark,

I just checked it on my end and it seems to work properly here.

Could you check Live’s MIDI preferences to ensure that the AbleSet plugin is still loaded? Sometimes, Live clears these settings during an update for some reason.

If the AbleSet plugin doesn’t show up there at all, you could try running AbleSet’s plugin installer again by opening the status window, clicking the settings icon at the top right and selecting “Add AbleSet Plugin to Ableton” in the dropdown menu.

If all of this fails, please feel free to send me a log package so I can take a closer look at what might be causing this connection issue.

I have just installed beta 24 which updated the plugin anyway and it now all works just fine.
