\Ableset Folder is in Every Live SET

In late 2.x Beta, the \Ableset folder showed up.
And it is a great design.

Yet, there is a small issue (and very very small issue)…hardly too small to mention.

Everytime I go to a LiveSet, one that has nothing to do with performance, and IF I happen to forget I have Ableset running in the background, then Ableset, upon opening the Project, creates a \Ableset folder in that project directory, with all its empty sub-folders.

Of course, this is not a big issue. And it may actually require a lot of braincells to solve it (I have pondered, "how would Ableset know whether this is a performance project or not?).

So, there it is. Just tossing it out there…

  • OS and Version: Windows 11
  • Version of AbleSet: 3.04
  • Version of Ableton Live: 11

Hey @nevillewhitemusic,

That’s right.
Since AbleSet can’t really tell whether a Live Set is meant for performance or not, it will initialize the \AbleSet folder whenever a project is opened.
That said, the AbleSet folder shouldn’t really cause any issues, and you can always delete it if you don’t need it.

Also, even with newer features like Cues, it usually stays quite small and in most cases won’t exceed around 100 MB.

Appreciate you sharing this!
