Ableset Canvas not loading on iphone

Created a Canvas on ableset using my MacBook through chrome (wasn’t working right through safari)

Now I’m trying to load the canvas using my iPhone and I can’t get it to load, just shows the ableset loading circle. I’ve tried on safari and chrome and both produce the same result. Ableset is latest version. iPhone is a 13 pro and iOS 18.1.1.

Tried troubleshooting through chatGPT, clearing cache, turning on and off cross site tracking, resetting iPhone/ableton/ableset. Nothing seems to be working. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Just to double-check a couple of things so we can narrow this down:

When you click on the AbleSet tray icon on your Mac, are you connecting on your iPhone to exactly one of the addresses shown there?

AbleSet shows two options:

  • The .local hostname (e.g. your-computer.local)
  • The remote IP address (e.g. 192.168.x.x:PORT)

Could you confirm you’re typing one of those exactly as shown into the iPhone’s browser address bar?

Just want to make sure the phone isn’t accidentally pointing to an old/cached address or a different network interface.

On your iPhone, is it only the Canvas that gets stuck on the loading spinner? Or do Setlist / Performance / Lyrics load normally?

This helps determine whether it’s a Canvas-specific issue or a general connection issue between the phone and the AbleSet server.

Once we know those two things, we can go deeper if needed.

Yes typing in the exact remote IP address from ableset tray icon on my MacBook.

Yes it’s only canvas I’m experiencing issues with, performance and setlist seem to be operating normally.

Also don’t know if it’s useful at all but I can’t get canvas to load either using safari on my MacBook, only using chrome.

Could you send us over a Log Package?

You can do that by clicking on AbleSet’s tray icon → Gear icon → Create Log Package

Please include your project file(s) (.als only, no audio needed).

Hey @Jcl_10, please excuse the late reply! Is this issue still occurring on your iPhone with the latest version of AbleSet? If so, does this only affect your iPhone or also other devices on your network? Does using a different browser make a difference?
