@leolabs, track groups was something that I was handling inside of Open Stage Control. Love the fact that you are continuing to bake these features directly into Ableset. Less pieces = less headaches!
I have nothing constructive to add, I’m just incredibly hyped for this release.
I’m hyped as well!
I should be able to release a new beta some time this week – still working on a lot of new features and improvements
I’m not missing anything am I? Is this out already and I’m just not finding it or is it not yet released? I’ll be patient if I have to . I just want to make sure I’m not overlooking it somehow. Thanks!
Hey @iamderkis, you’re not missing anything
I meant to publish the next beta version a while ago and already published the documentation for the new features, but I got sick and had to pause my work for a while. I hope to be able to publish the new beta soon!
I’m using this method of grouping with Return tracks for easy template programming
Was wondering if it is possible to send the ‘Return Track’ to the mixer? Haven’t seen it anywhere so far but could have missed it on another thread
Hey @Simon, you can add the same +G:
flag to any return track to add it to the mixer as well. So one return track could be called Pads +G:PADS
which would add it to the mixer so you can control its volume.
Let me know if this works for your use case
This could completely be user error and if it is, please point out what silly mistake I’ve made
But here is a video of the ‘+G:’ flag on the name of a group of tracks and also on the name of a return not showing up into the mixer - I tried the flag before and after the names in case it was something to do with that, but no luck either way.
Edit: Sorry for video orientation - just a screen recording from my Mac, not sure why it flipped in here
Ableset 3.0.0 beta.5
macOS Monterey 12.7.4
Ableton Live 11.3.40
Hey @Simon, I just watched your video and noticed that there’s a space between the +G:
and the name of the group. Could you try removing that space and check if that works? So for example, +G:GUIDES
instead of +G: GUIDES
.
I hope this helps
Knew it would be something extremely silly
Thank you!
