Visual Metronome colour change

I’ve been messing around with the visual metronome (now that I can use it) and I have noticed that the colour of the click changes with the colour of the project/ song colour

I run click as midi files and I was wondering if there was a way to use the colour of the midi track to change the colour of the visual metronome

For example, songs with odd bars I have used a different colour to show in the project where they are quickly- so they would flash as a different colour as well as different denomination

Another idea would be for section colours, verse is one click colour and chorus is another (could be determined but the midi section clip within project)

Hey @Addy_Walters,

Yes, this is already possible.

Use a Sections track with the +CC (Clip Colors) flag:

  • Create a MIDI track named SECTIONS +CC

  • Define sections using MIDI clips

  • Color the clips in Ableton (e.g. verse, chorus, etc.)

AbleSet reads the clip colors and uses them for the section color and visual metronome, so the metronome color changes automatically with each section.

Hope that helps!

Ah amazing! Thanks for letting me know! :folded_hands:
