Skip *song* name cues for specific songs

I have a special transition here and I’d like to skip saying the song title of only one specific song. A similar syntax than the section modifier syntax ([c:1:nb]etc) could make sense. Is that already supported or would that be a feature request?

Thanks!

Hey @jankap,

The [c:...] attributes only cover count-ins, not the song title announcement itself. I’ll pass the request along.

In the meantime, there’s a workaround that should get you there. Cues lets you override any generated phrase with your own audio file, so you can feed it a silent one for that specific title:

  1. Open the AbleSet folder (Settings menu → Open AbleSet Folder) and go to the Cues folder.
  2. Create a folder named Custom in there if you don’t have one already.
  3. Drop in a silent mono WAV file named exactly like the song’s locator, e.g. Special Song.wav.

Files in the Custom folder take precedence over the generated voice, so that one title comes out silent while everything else keeps working normally.

One thing worth double-checking: song titles are only announced automatically when you jump to a song while playback is stopped. If what you’re hearing happens during playback, that’s the section count-in instead — and that one you can already disable per section with [c:0] on the section locator, or on the song locator to cover the whole song.

Would that work for your use case?
