Hey guys!
I started using ableset recently and encountered an issue that i can’t seem to recreate. Basically I had a track running and it stopped out of nowhere. I have an oaktone controller that had some automatic touch osc commands in the midi tab that I did not change until after this happened. I did not take notes of the exact oaktone osc commands specifically but I know, one was on a pause command. Another part of the setup was having two other computers on the same private wireless router. Both were in locked mode so in theory they should not have had control over stopping the track. Is there anything else that may have caused this. I know wireless is not recommended but curious what that problem may have been. Any info would be helpful!
Please fill out these values to make it easier to troubleshoot:
I’m sorry to hear about this issue! If it happens again, could you send me a log package so I can take a closer look at what might have happened?
You can create one by opening AbleSet’s status window, clicking the settings icon on the top right, and then selecting “Create Log Package”.
Additionally, you might want to run a tool like MIDI Monitor in the background that logs incoming MIDI data. This would help to figure out if some kind of MIDI message caused Live to pause playback.
If the files are too large to send via email, you can upload them to my support inbox instead.
Thanks for reporting this, sorry to hear it’s happening.
To take a closer look, could you share a bit more about what happened when the track stopped?
If you can, please:
Create a Log Package (and include the project files):
Click on the AbleSet icon in your system tray/menu bar→ gear icon → Create Log Package and upload it to AbleSet’s support inbox.
If possible, a short screen recording of the moment it happens would be super helpful.
And as Léo mentioned above, checking for incoming MIDI can help rule out accidental Stop / Pause messages:
