Hey @KevinP,
There are actually two ways to go about this:
Option 1: +GUIDE flag (if you’re using a recorded audio/MIDI track)
Add +GUIDE to the name of your QUEUE track. AbleSet mutes that track while the section is looping and unmutes it the moment you escape, so the count-out stays silent through every repeat and only plays on the exit pass.
QUEUE +GUIDE
You can see this in action in the official tutorial.
Option 2: AbleSet Cues count-in
This requires AbleSet Beta 3.1. Once installed, enable Count-In Sections During Playback in Settings → Cues → Cues Settings. By default this also announces the count on every loop repeat (“Loop, 2, 3, 4”), so you’ll need to add [c:noloop] or [c:nl] to your looped section’s name to suppress that. Once the loop is escaped, AbleSet automatically counts into the next section — only on the exit.
Keep in mind that the count-in speaks the next section’s name, so it would say something like “Outro, 2, 3, 4” rather than “End, 2, 3, 4”. If you name the section after the loop “End”, it’ll say exactly that.
Would that work for your use case?
I’m looking forward to your reply!
