Hi, I’m having an issue where anything related to playback position, metronome or beats isn’t displaying on my Stream Deck using Companion, all values stay at 0. I thought it was maybe because I was running an older MacOS and Ableton 11 so I’ve just updated both, Companion and module were newly installed yesterday, Ableset is up to date. Ableset web interface shows everything ok.
Also, ‘Jump by Beats’ isn’t working but that might have been deprecated, as I can’t see that command in the OSC document.
- OS and Version: macOS 15.7.3
- Version of AbleSet: 2.7.5
- Version of Ableton Live: 12.3.5
- Version of Companion: 4.2.3 (module 1.7.2)
Is Ableset Controller in your set at all? I believe all of those parameters require that.
Ah ok. No, I only have Ableton Standard. I’ll have to live without it. Thanks for your help.
Shame about the ‘jump by beat’, that would have been handy on a couple of occasions when the band has drifted off backing by a beat.
You can still use Ableset Controller. In the menu bar on Mac or tray on windows, find the Ableset icon and click on it. There should be an option called Get Ableset Controller or something like that. Then when it installs, just drag it onto a track in the Ableton set and it will be good to go.
Great, thanks. Don’t know how I missed that have been using Ableset for around 18 months without the controller.
If anyone else comes across this thread, the ‘jump by beats/bars’ features work in Ableset 3.
