Hi @leolabs, this could be a crazy request and impossible, but thought I’d throw it out there anyways!
We use Waves Soundgrid to run our tracks to our LV1 console, sometimes when switching save files on the LV1, it disconnects the Mac Mini and disables Ableton’s audio engine, I then have to go back in and re-enable the audio engine for it to connect back with Waves Soundgrid… it’s a little annoying cause the Mac Mini lives in a rack backstage, so I have to jump off stage to go do that. It’s mainly annoying cause I can do pretty much everything else I could ever want from within Ableset ![]()
I guess my request is kind of 2-in-1…
1 - Is there a way to make an error screen of some kind that comes up on Ableset devices when the audio engine is disabled in Ableton? Maybe this can be toggled on and off in the settings for those that may not want it
2 - Now this one is even more of a stretch, but if that error window came up and then you have the functionality of re-enabling the audio engine and choosing your output device… that would be prettty cool! I understand this might be impossible, I may just be dreaming at this point ![]()
